2017 Summer Interns

We are now accepting resumes for our summer internship program.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about design, and would enjoy participating in our lively office culture. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Adobe Suite, with working knowledge of CAD, and Rhino. Revit knowledge is a plus.

Positions will last 10-12 weeks, beginning in June.

Model Shop Designer

We have an immediate opening for an experienced physical model maker that is interested in working on a variety of project types and scales. Daily responsibilities include creating scaled architectural models out of a variety of materials with laser cutter, 3D printer, shop and finishing tools (saws, sanding, painting, etc).

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining a model studio work-flow to include following established safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area
  • Strong design/organizational skills and capability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to track and order materials; maintain and operate machines
  • Ability to work from sketches, drawings, CAD data, and 3D modeling software and design presentation models with project managers within deadlines
  • Ability to skillfully work alongside internal and external customers; to include interfacing with clients and coordinating presentation deliverables
  • Must be able to read and interpret 2D and 3D models
  • Hand- drawing skills preferred
  • Additional responsibilities include assisting with miscellaneous office operations, as well as general office repair and maintenance

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 2-4 years of professional model building experience working in an architectural design environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
  • Strong skills in Rhino, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in CNC milling

Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect

We have an immediate opening for a mid to senior level landscape architect that is committed to the creation and development of outstanding landscape design from concept through execution.

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Strong design skills and a passion for creativity
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A high degree of self-motivation, flexibility, and resourcefulness
  • Knowledge of planting design, materials, and technical aspects of landscape architecture
  • Construction documents and specification experience
  • Construction administration experience, as well as experience coordinating with a range of consultants including civil, electrical, and structural engineers
  • Ability to skillfully work alongside internal and external customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of landscape architectural design experience through all phases of design and documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Experience with Autocad, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Sketch-Up
  • Hand-drawing and residential experience preferred
  • Revit and Rhino experience is a plus

Intermediate Architect

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who is willing to take responsibility and multi-task, in a creative, deadline-driven environment, and who is interested to grow with our team.

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Strong design skills and a passion for creativity
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A high degree of self-motivation, flexibility, and resourcefulness
  • Construction documents and specification experience
  • Construction administration experience, as well as experience coordinating with a range of consultants including civil, electrical, and structural engineers
  • Ability to skillfully work alongside internal and external customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5- 8 years of professional experience working with licensed professionals
  • A 5 year Bachelor of Architecture degree or a Master’s of Architecture degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with REVIT, Autocad, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch-Up and Rhino
  • Hand-drawing and residential experience preferred

Interior Designer

We have an immediate opening for a very talented Mid-Level Interior Designer who specializes in commercial architectural interiors.  Experience in residential interior design is also a plus, but not required. Candidate must be interested in working on a variety of project types and scales (from large buildings down to custom furniture), and likes being part of collaborative and trans-disciplinary team.

Applicants should have unique creative skills with a keen sense of color and composition. Background in other creative arts is a plus.  Qualified candidates will have project management experience, excellent client skills, and capability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to assist with design development to include: research; concept development; drafting interior elevations, millwork, and custom furnishings; knowledge of local furniture market and custom fabricators; interfacing with dealers and coordinating purchasing; project budgeting, refined presentation skills; full FF&E packages; and site installations.

The ideal candidate will have

  • 3-7 years of professional interior design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Environmental Design, or Architecture.
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Revit, Rhino or 3DMax, and Studio Design/Webware preferred
  • Working knowledge of building codes, LEED, and accessibility regulations preferred.
