Michael Sweeney
Senior Associate

Michael Sweeney joined Rios Clementi Hale Studios in 2005. He works on all types of projects, but he specializes in those that aspire to alter the urban environment. The resulting friction, he says, is what generates the design of those projects.

Michael is a California-registered Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional. He is a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and a board member of the Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design, a nonprofit that considers the public role and responsibility of architecture.

He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota and his Master of Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.

Select projects Michael has worked on include Columbia Square, Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills, NBC Universal Evolution Plan, the WeHo Duplex and Westfield Century City.
